
In 1993 it took over four hours to evacuate the twin towers on September 11th, 2001 the evacuation only took 45 minutes. The difference was the emergency egress signage system installed in the stairways and sub grade areas.
Photolumencent signs, illuminated hand rails and steps lit the way from 110 floors up and six floors below and over 20,000 people safely and quickly evacuated the buildings.
